Michael J. Brown is an attorney in our Asbestos Litigation practice and our general negligence practice. Michael earned a B.S. from the University of Hartford in 2013, graduating valedictorian of the Barney School of Business. Following his undergraduate degree, Michael attended the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, graduating cum laude.

Following law school, Michael started his legal career at The Law Offices of Michael T. van der Veen. While there, he handled a variety of civil and criminal matters in both state and federal court. In federal court, Michael assisted in the defense of civil RICO cases and also acted as second chair for a federal bank robbery trial.

Michael joined the firm in March of 2017 with aspirations to continue his career as a trial attorney. Since that time, Michael has litigated and fought for numerous plaintiffs in personal injury claims and asbestos litigation. After joining the firm, Michael initially acted as second chair for asbestos trials. Most recently in 2022, Michael was first chair trial counsel for the largest pulmonary asbestosis verdict in Pennsylvania, with a jury award of $25 Million for his clients.

Michael grew up in Delaware and currently lives in South Philadelphia with his wife, Tori, and two dogs, Judge and Goose.
